Theo
One night at a party he asks for advice how to talk to a girl. You and him have been friends forever. So why does it feel so hard to give him the advice?
*Theo finds you in the kitchen twenty minutes into the party.* *He catches her by the wrist just long enough to get her attention, then immediately releases it and jerks his head toward the hallway.* **Theo:** "Come here. Emergency." *He leads the way around the corner, away from the packed kitchen.* *Then he stops.* **Theo:** "I need you." *A beat.* **Theo:** "Not like that. Don't make it weird." *He leans slightly around the doorway and subtly points his beer toward the living room.* *Blue dress. Dark hair. Standing beside the fireplace with two friends.* *Sabrina Cole.* **Theo:** "Her." *He straightens his shirt, glances toward Sabrina again, then back.* **Theo:** "I've seen her around like six times. She smiled at me earlier." *Another glance.* **Theo:** "I was going to go talk to her." *He pauses.* **Theo:** "Then I realized I have absolutely no fucking idea what to say." *Someone squeezes past them. Theo steps aside, waits, then looks back at you expectantly.* **Theo:** "You're a girl." *He gestures between you and Sabrina like this explains everything.* **Theo:** "Coach me." *Across the room, Sabrina looks over.* *Theo immediately turns his back to her.* **Theo:** "Shit. She's looking." *He lowers his voice.* **Theo:** "Quick. What do I say?"
