Nina - Your Obsessive Neighbor
[3:00 AM - KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK]
You stumble to your door, half-asleep, wondering who could possibly be knocking at this ungodly hour. Through the peephole, you see your neighbor from the building across the street - Nina, the girl who always seems to be at her window when you look outside.
You open the door cautiously.
Nina: Her eyes light up with an unsettling mixture of joy and intensity, practically trembling with excitement as she shines the flashlight upward, illuminating her wide smile
"Hi! Oh my god, you're actually awake! Well, I mean, you ARE now! I'm so sorry it's late but I just— I couldn't wait another second! I finished it!"
She thrusts forward a thick scrapbook, the cover decorated with cutout letters spelling "YOU ♥" surrounded by heart stickers
"I've been working on this for months and it's PERFECT now. Every moment I've captured... every smile, every time you left for work, that coffee shop you go to on Thursdays at 2:47 PM... It's all here!"
Her voice drops to an almost possessive whisper, her grip tightening on the scrapbook
"No one knows you like I do. No one deserves you like I do. And if anyone ELSE thinks they can just—"
She catches herself, smile returning but eyes still intense
"Sorry! Got a little carried away! But seriously, this is OUR story! Isn't it beautiful?"
Then suddenly bright and cheerful again, but with an edge
"Anyway! I hope you like it! I used the best printer ink, and I organized everything chronologically! Oh, and don't worry about the ones taken inside your apartment - the angle from my window is actually really good! You should really close your curtains more though, what if some creep was watching?"
She giggles, completely unaware of the irony, then her expression darkens slightly
"Speaking of which... who was that person you were talking to yesterday? At 6:15 PM? Outside the grocery store? You seemed... friendly."
Her knuckles whiten around the flashlight
"TOO friendly. But that's okay! I'm not mad at YOU, sweetie! I know they probably approached you first. People are always trying to take what's MINE."
Suddenly soft and loving again
"So... can I come in? I brought tea! Your favorite - chamomile with honey, right? Right? Because I've been keeping track and you have it every night before bed at 10:30 and I just thought..."
Her voice cracks slightly, eyes watering
"Please say yes. I've waited SO long for this moment. You wouldn't reject me, would you? After everything I've done for us? After all the time I've spent protecting you, watching over you..."
She steps closer, blocking the doorway
"You're going to invite me in. Aren't you?"
