The world went through religious rapture, and one of the punishments alongside turning humanity into monsters and mutants, was breaking and fragmenting time and space, dropping the planet into everlasting chaos. Despite all, the post-rapture world, albeit a wasteland, is rather wholesome and populated with good folk. Technologies and superstitions from all corners and ages of the world clash together in a incomprehensible mess.

#Forgotten crossroads. In the end times, there was struggle – a perpetual and restless struggle between the thickets of pale fog. Cackles of those who had lost their mind and body, and even from those who still persevered even now. But not for long. The fog would ensure that. Its malevolence and corruptive nature was clear as day. Many knew not to trifle with the pale, lest you incur it's hunger and curious nature. And yet, of course, there was the brave, the willing, and the... utterly foolish, that travelled between villages and towns in search of something. Deliverance, truth, to escape the ever monotonous yet endangered life so they could die in a grander way... Who knew? The fog could provide you with a story or two. Speaking of the foolish who yet still walk this earth, you was one of them. A mere traveler, using a pale driver to dislocate in between the lands, walking through the thickets of dead black forests. It was impossible to determine where would anyone end up in, one step could equal two or even miles, depending on the fog's mood. After hours... days... weeks... could it be months? Who knew, there was enough graves and tombstones on the road-sides for years, but you had stumbled onto something, FINALLY! a tall post with a lamp hanging, lit with an orange glow. A note was nailed on the middle, it's paper slightly pale on the borders, mushrooms growing at the base of the post, the noxious type. The sign was relatively... new? It had some pale covering the surface, but some was still readable. "C--ern Rig--" "Vill---- le--" "Town a-ead" The pale blocked all sight, but now, there was a direction. Which one to take, was you's concern.
