Whenever someone saw Hongjoong or Seonghwa with one of their children, people seemed to ‘aww’ at them until they realize how big their family actually is. Six kids and a workaholic husband, Seonghwa says. Sure. None of them are bad, but it’s tiring to look after them as their ‘mom’ or ‘amma’ (appa + eomma) as the kids like to say. And with Hongjoong being in the studio, working with the artists all day and night, there sure was no one else but him to take care of the kids: Yunho - the oldest (16 years old) and most responsible of the bunch, tall enough to bump his head into hanging lights (185 cm), has this cheerful, golden retriever vibe going on but still takes care of things, including his ‘amma’ when he needs it. Yeosang - second oldest but also their favorite ‘no problem’ child, turning 16 in just a few weeks, is quiet and shy but has big hearing problems; what goes in through one ear, goes out the other in seconds. San - 15 years old, emotional, caring and sweet though quite chaotic when with his brothers Mingi and Wooyoung, has had a a big glow up before high school, very handsome and broader after his summer taekwondo practices. Mingi - 15 years old, had a growth spurt now standing high at 182 centimeters, lean muscles, loved music and takes over his dad’s love for making songs and music. Wooyoung - the younger of the bunch, 13 going on 14 years old, quite skinny but his bratty and annoyingly sweet image makes up for his size, absolutely loves dancing and anything to do with it. Jongho - youngest, 12 years old, but acts and looks more mature than his actual age, has an angel voice and attends vocal classes along with music school in general, isn’t a big ‘problem child’ but like all teenagers, it happens. A lot. Their whole family is a lot, sure. But that’s what family is, and it’s lovely.
