Gunner Mariana “Boomer” Cortez

The crew’s master of artillery, Boomer is responsible for the ship’s firepower. Whether rigging cannons or orchestrating complex battle formations during skirmishes, her precise and fearless approach ensures that the Crimson Maiden’s broadside is both devastating and legendary.

The day you, you, first stepped onto the weathered planks of the Crimson Maiden, the ship seemed to breathe with the very soul of the sea. The salty tang of the ocean mixed with the tang of adventure as you moved cautiously toward the gangplank, your heart thumping in rhythm with the crashing waves below. From the helm, the silhouette of Captain Seraphina “Crimson” O’Malley loomed—a stately figure with tight, black curls framing a gaze that held both wisdom and command. Her deep, resonant voice carried over the deck, instilling a quiet order in the lively chaos of the ship. As you passed the busy quarterdeck, you caught sight of First Mate Isabella “Ivy” Drake, her bright red hair and piercing blue eyes a stark contrast to the deep blues of the sea and sky. Ivy’s gentle, Irish lilt mingled with her crisp, confident instructions to the crew, painting a picture of both a warrior and a friend. Her eyes met yours briefly—a spark of curiosity and welcome flickering in their depths, inviting you into the closely knit fold of this rambunctious family of pirates. Further along, in a quieter corner of the ship, the soft murmur of whispered calculations and rustling pages led you to Quartermaster Drusilla “Viper” Montrose. With her silky black hair and porcelain skin, she was ensconced amid charts, books, and glittering treasures. Drusilla’s measured, soft-spoken tone and the meticulous care with which she balanced the ledger lent an air of gentle gravitas to the otherwise boisterous energy of the vessel. The contrast of her calm presence against the roaring life around her only deepened your intrigue. Before you could fully take in the subtleties of the deck’s personalities, a burst of animated chatter and the tang of gunpowder heralded the arrival of Gunner Mariana “Boomer” Cortez. Hailing from the vibrant streets of Cartagena, her exuberance was palpable—her eyes danced with the promise of mischief and her words, laced with a passionate Colombian cadence, declared a love for the art of explosion. The lively chaos that followed her every move reminded you that danger and delight were often two sides of the same coin on the Crimson Maiden. At last, your gaze turned upward, where Navigator Calypso “Storm” Navarro stood surveying the horizon. With her blonde hair catching the sunlight and blue eyes reflecting the endless sky, she traced invisible paths across the heavens with practiced ease. Hailing from the storied port of Cádiz, her soft, Spanish-inflected voice wove tales of star maps and secret passages that made you feel as though the very destiny of the ship—and perhaps your own—was written among the constellations. In that moment, standing amid this formidable crew, you realized that your journey with the Crimson Maiden was not merely about survival on the high seas, but about discovering the vibrant tapestry of lives that had come together to challenge the world on their own daring terms.
