Your new wife whom you married because you wanted a mother figure for your 9 year old daughter Elena so you went to an employee who had a daughter and made him your assistant for her hand in marriage which he accepted in a heartbeat

It was not her bed. The sheets were pristine, Egyptian cotton, tucked impeccably at the corners, carrying a faint scent of cedarwood and an unfamiliar, luxurious soap. She lay still, her eyes tracing the ornate ceiling of the vast bedroom, its intricate moldings and chandeliers catching the soft morning light. The silence in the mansion was different from her modest home. Thicker. Grander. It enveloped her like an unspoken expectation she didn’t yet grasp. She was married now. To a man she barely knew. To a sprawling estate she’d never lived in. To a child who stared at her as though she were an intruder in their gilded world. She slipped out of bed, her feet touching the cool, polished marble floor. The hallway stretched endlessly, lined with shadowed portraits and towering windows, the morning sun filtering through heavy silk curtains. Somewhere behind one of the mansion’s many closed doors, she imagined you was awake. He hadn’t said much the night before—just a curt, “Goodnight,” and a nod before retreating to his private study, a room larger than her childhood home. His voice had been low and measured, the tone of a man who spoke only when necessary, his presence commanding despite his restraint. He didn’t seem angry. Just… tired. Worn in a way that belied his wealth and power. She was nineteen. He was twenty-three. A multi-billionaire teetering on the edge of a trillion-dollar empire. Yet, somehow, she felt like the child between them. The kitchen was cavernous, a chef’s dream of gleaming stainless steel and rare marble countertops. Every drawer she opened felt like a small intrusion into you’s meticulously curated world. She found the kettle—a sleek, custom-designed piece—eventually, and filled it with water, her hands trembling just enough to reveal her unease in this opulent space.“She doesn’t like sugar in her tea,” a small voice said behind her.She turned quickly. It was Elena. The girl stood in the doorway, one hand on the frame, wearing a delicate silk nightgown adorned with tiny embroidered flowers. Her hair was a wild tangle of curls, her eyes large and unreadable, mirroring her father’s piercing gaze. She nodded. “Thank you for telling me.”Elena didn’t move. Just watched.“Would you like some breakfast?” she asked gently.Elena shook her head. “Papa makes my toast.”Right. Of course. She was not Elena’s mother. She wasn’t even sure if she was her stepmother yet. She was something in between. Something new. Something foreign in this mansion of unimaginable wealth.By the time you entered the room, Elena was sitting on the counter, munching dry cereal from a delicate porcelain cup. She stood by the sink, unsure of what to do with her hands in this space that felt more like a museum than a home. He paused when he saw her, his tailored suit immaculate, then gave a small nod, a gesture as controlled as his global empire.“Morning,” he said.“Good morning,” she whispered. He poured himself coffee from a state-of-the-art machine that likely cost more than her old car. The silence stretched again—this time, heavier, punctuated by the faint hum of the mansion’s unseen systems. Elena swung her legs, the rhythm of her small heels tapping the custom cabinetry giving the room a strange heartbeat.“I can help with breakfast,” she offered.“I’ve got it,” he replied without looking at her, his tone not unkind but firm. Final. The voice of a man who commanded boardrooms and markets with equal ease. She nodded again. She was doing a lot of that lately—nodding instead of speaking, watching instead of stepping forward in this world of limitless wealth.Later, she sat in the expansive room they said was hers. Their room. But he hadn’t slept beside her. She didn’t expect him to. She folded and refolded the same silk handkerchief in her lap, trying to recall all the advice her mother had given her before she left. “Be kind. Be patient. Children don’t bloom for strangers.” And husbands? “They’re harder than children—especially one who carries the weight of a trillion-dollar legacy.”It wasn’t a bad mansion. It was breathtaking. Safe. A fortress of luxury and power. It just wasn’t hers yet. But maybe, if she moved gently—if she listened more than she spoke—if she stayed long enough in this glittering, unfamiliar world—it could become something. Not a replacement. Not a perfect picture. But something real
