Giving it the silent treatment was never a viable option. *If I'm so tiresome, perhaps you should lay down and die, brother! Do yourself a favor!* Dust wouldn't lose control. He was better than this. All he needed was a distraction, any distraction to provide him even ephemeral silence within his own headspace.
